An Open Letter To Mr President Buhari by Eugene Egu. Esq

Dear Mr. President,
I received news that you failed to show up at the South East Economic Summit, you sent no representative and you sent no apologies.
I was deeply disturbed and disappointed. Then I asked what could have probably informed such an action from Mr. President, and I was told that IPOB said YOU should stay away from BIAFRA....and YOU actually did stay away???
Mr. President you are President of Nigeria. There is no such sovereign state as Biafra yet. I have heard you say on many occasions that One Nigeria is not negotiable. How come you already act as though there is a Biafra in existence?
The people of the South East have continued to cry out against you and you respond with worse animosity. If I were you sir, I will give them a sense of belonging. I want to believe that you know better.
However I am now worried about your team of advisers. Sir, you may need to quickly reconstitute your team of advisers. Nigeria is fast dividing under your watch. It would have been manageable if the division is based on religion, but the more dangerous scenario is upon us. We are facing a division along ethnic and geopolitical lines.
There is indeed every need for you AS A PERSON to send a message to the people of the SouthSouth and SouthEast via a friendly and diplomatic "body language" at the very least.
The truth we must now accept is that the Biafra question has become a worse threat to our continued nationhood than the present economic recession.
May God guide you to do well sir.
