Human remains found In property identified as man who went missing in 1986


Police inspected the Autism Queensland property on November 29.


Human remains found at a property in Brisbane’s north last month have been confirmed as belonging to a man who went missing in 1986.
The remains and some clothing were found in a disused septic tank by a plumber at the back of a North Street,
Brighton special education facility during routine maintenance on November 29.

Police today said they had been matched to Wayne James Youngkin, who previously lived at the address and disappeared when he was aged 29.
His last known documentation was when he applied for a passport in 1986 while he lived at the Brighton property.
His death is being treated as suspicious.
