Michelle Obama says Americans now know ‘what not having hope feels like’

First Lady Michelle Obama has gotten candid in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, saying Americans now know what “not having any hope feels like”.
The interview was previewed on CBS This Morning earlier today, as the two women sat down to discuss the US election.


In the clip Winfrey says President Barack Obama’s administration “was all about hope”.
“Do you think that this administration achieved that?” she asked.
Mrs Obama responded with reference to the recent presidential election.
“Yes, I do. Because we feel the difference now,” she said.

“Now we are feeling what not having hope feels like, you know.”
Mrs Obama added that “hope is necessary”.
“What do you give your kids if you can’t give them hope?” she posited.
Mrs Obama’s interview with Winfrey will be aired in full on Monday evening in the US.

EFCC Officials Forcefully Break Into An Expectant Woman's House at 3am

An expectant father has accused EFCC officials of breaking into his home in the middle of the night to conduct a search without a warrant. The man said he was at his home in Olokuta, Kemta, in Idi-Aba, Abeokuta between 3 am to 5 am, when some men forcefully broke into his house using a hammer.  He added that he was afraid they were armed robbers, so he hid in the guest bedroom with his pregnant wife as the men broke in through the sitting room window. According to him, the intruders claimed to be EFCC officials looking for "Yahoo boys", but they had no form of identification, neither did they have a search warrant.  Even without a search warrant, the victim alleged that they searched his house, damaged things, then left without as much as an apology.
