Nnamdi Kanu To Engage The Services Of Young Lawyers If He Really Wants His Freedom.

In criminal matters, the law allows a defendant to choose his counsel. Part of my job as a criminal defense lawyer is to make sure the
government plays by the rules in the investigation stage of a case and
in the court process.
The right to agitate is inherent in a democracy. People must not be
denied of their rights to protest by way of being kept in custody. If
national security was a ground to throw people into detention the
Criminal Justice Act would have said so," he said
The young lawyers especially the female lawyer (call me a feminist) from all crannies in Nigeria should rise up and make
sure that the court process is fair, and that Nnamdi Kanu and others are not punished for
committing a crime, unless the government can prove they are guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and that is done in the court of law not incarcerating him in prison and/or refusing bail. Where bail conditions are met, it is set aside for no just cause. That is putting the cat before the horse.
I have silently watched and identified situations where the government has failed to play by the rules or where the evidence does not constitute proof beyond a reasonable doubt, Trying to put in offences on the charge sheets, that any court with or without jurisdiction on sighting the charge or information on the surface, would immediately be biased.

It is time to use these situations to the benefit of these accused. We cannot fold our arms and watch our brother deteriorating physically, mentally, and emotionally. Though he comes out in public with an all 'smiles'. Yes, and maybe His lawyers have been doing a good job but its time to switch hands.
Doing so, however, not only benefits him but also benefits the community as a whole by
ensuring that we are all protected by the rule of law under the
Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, no matter what.
It could also be recalled that the commander in chief of the Federal
Republic of Nigeria “President Buhari, displayed his ignorance in the
most absurd manner by instructing ECOWAS court not to hear Kanu’s case, i do not get it, whatever happens to 'innocent until proven guilty'
also vowing that Kanu would not be released due to what he termed as
“severity of offence committed”, while forgetting that there is a limit
to the power he wields as a president in Nigeria. I am a great fan of this administration, however, need i remind us that Nigeria belongs to all of us, not for the rich, the mighty, nor the powers that be. Even if one has been diagnosed with a deadly disease, he can call on the government and its people for assistance. You should not treat yourself alone. (thats by the way)
