Rivers rerun election: INEC suspends election in Akuku-Toru LGA.

INEC releases interim report for Rivers rerun election

 Mr Austin Okojie, a Supervising Resident Electoral Commissioner has announced the suspension of re-run legislative election in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area. The elections were scheduled to hold in five units of Ward 12.


 Okojie told newsmen at Abonnema, head quarter of Akuku-Toru Local Government on Saturday that the decision to suspend the election was taken after a meeting with representatives of parties. He said the election would be held on Sunday.

"Yes my menses appeared 30 minutes to my performance and I had to put on a sanitary pad and still go on stage. "Menstruation is not a shame and I urge all young women take a cue from my actions and not to let it stop them from doing anything they want to do."
