Security Guard Found Dead Inside Fuel Tanker In Warri May Not Have Been Scooping Fuel Illegally as Alleged.
Security staff identified as Emma Obene of Frankies Concern Limited Filling Station, located along Enerhen Road, Warri, Delta State was reported to have been found dead in one of the fuel tankers of the company.
Obene a Senior Security officer of the company was declared missing nine days ago after which his clothes were found hanging in his office, but he was nowhere to be found. Divaviva111 believe that there was more to the man's death than meets the eyes. This you would find after the cut
His lifeless body was found in the fuel tanker when some workers of the filling station took the tanker to a private depot near Warri Refinery at the early hours of the day to load products. (this was 9 days after) was there any police report of their Chief Oecurity officer missing for over nine days by the company? No! Does that mean that ordinarily, this man occasionally hangs his clothes in the office. As there was no earliest alarm as to why his clothes was at the office.
The deceased, who is a father of a 12-year-old girl has been working in the filling station for some years and was the head of security before the unfortunate incident occurred.
He was alleged to have died in the process of trying to illegally scoop fuel from the tanker hence a bucket suspected to be one of his scooping tool .was found by his side. The question that comes to mind thus, Were there any jerrycans, containers or even generator found believed to be his own or where he would have poured the scooped fuel? if truly he was scooping fuel where are the jerrycans or containers in the above allegation, just a bucket was found? A man who has worked in a company for so many years and who was the Chief Security Officer of the company is found dead inside the company's tanker and they allege he was scooping fuel illegally case closed? The company owes the man and his family the obligation of conducting an autopsy to ascertain the actual cause of his death.
There is an aorta of doubt in this allegation and as usual will be thrown into thin air. He was a common security officer, irrespective of whether he was a Chief Security Officer, and his 12 year old daughter has no one to take up the matter of investigating the death of her father.
It was also reported that The police from the Enerhen Divisional Police Station with the help of sympathizers evacuated the remains of the victim and the bucket he was allegedly using to scoop fuel from the tanker.
A staff of the station who pleaded anonymity said;“his dress and short he worn were hanged by his office and we started looking for him since on Saturday until this moment. All efforts to trace him were to no avail until the tanker went to depot to load fuel where he was discovered that a corpse was inside the tanker when they wanted to load it.”
The corpse has since been deposited in one of the morgues in Effurun awaiting police investigations.
The state’s Commissioner of Police, Mr Zanna Ibrahim, confirmed the incident when contacted on Monday.
Well then, What can we say. Like we would always say, May his soul rest in peace.
