Wetin NYSC Orientation Dey Do Sef? Ban Punishing Graduates In Camp, It Adds Nothing To Their Real Life Situations.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has to do something about these punishments and deaths that occurs in orientation camp these days. Sometimes i wonder if the objective of the NYSC (Nigerian Youth Service Corps)  is being relegated to the ground. A graduate whose parents had spent a life saving for him/her to be educated, a Graduate who endured the mental torture of having to battle with academics through the four walls of the university and all that follows it, School walls did not kill him, hunger and strike he survived, some with first class honours to pass in their various discipline, just in a bid to serve their nation is subjected to this? Seems the soldiers are enjoying this. Nonsense and ingredient!


A LIB reader sent in this photo of corps members on their knees at their NYSC orientation camp just because they 'annoyed' their Platoon Inspector. Read what he wrote:

"Hello Linda, Am a corp member currently undergoing orientation course at the NYSC orientation camp, Umunna, Bende, Abia state. This morning, during parade rehearsals, some corp members in 9 Platoon got the platoon inspector annoyed and he punished them by kneeling them down for some time before releasing them. #Even graduates still get kindergarten punishments #
Can you imagine!
This is so sad.

Over the weeks now Nigerians are being saddled with the news about the police refusing to leave the premises of a serving Senator, Dino Melaye, but some Nigerians online expect that this over-zealousness at getting the Senator could possibly be used in securing lives and properties of Nigerians on a daily basis.
