Gallant Nigerian Soldiers Are Dying While The JTF and Vigilante Are Defending Arrested LGA Chairman Allegedly Harbouring bokoharam members.

Whether one is innocent or not is based on the facts, evidence and the law in place. It is not in the hands of the JTF or the Vigilante groups  otherwise, they all need to be probed.

Officials of Civilian JTF and Vigilante from Mafa local government of Borno state have said that Shettima Lawan Mafa, the Caretaker Chairman arrested last Friday by the military for allegedly harbouring a fleeing Boko Haram commander in his private residence in Maiduguri, is innocent.



Addressing a joint press conference at the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Maiduguri yesterday, January 2, the Mafa branch of Civilian JTF led by its overall, Abba Sa’adu and the Vigilante led by its General Commander, Agar Jallabe (pictured) described the council chairman as a sincere person who devoted his time fighting insurgency and would never harbour any Boko Haram terrorist.

The Civilian JTF and Vigilante leaders said they knew the chairman as a good fellow who had never spared any criminal or insurgent but who had for long been going out on patrol with them in search of thieves, armed robbers, cattle rustlers and insurgent.

Even Judas Iscariot followed Jesus around and even kissed him on the forehead before he was betrayed. How long would our soldiers continue to die for Nigeria this way? A popular pastor had said that if you die for Nigeria , you die for nothing... i hope it wont come to that state.
