'I stabbed an innocent woman to death today - it was absolutely fantastic': Schoolgirl's chilling diary entries
A teenage girl who wrote chilling diary entries describing her brutal knife attack on a complete stranger has been jailed.
Pearl Moen was just 17 when she carried out the horrific stabbing in Austin, Texas.
The victim, a nurse, was knifed 21 times after being ambushed by Pearl as she sat on the pavement near the apartment she shared with her boyfriend.
Despite suffering life-threatening injuries, the woman, who has not been identified, survived.
"I stabbed an innocent woman to death earlier today. (Technically yesterday since it’s 1 am).
"It was absolutely fantastic.
"Murder gives me a high unlike any other.
"It feels like this crisp unreality, flashing and sparkling, adrenaline and shock. Fight or flight mode.
"How do I even go about describing it. The whole thing was unreal."
"Maybe more. I wasn’t counting.
"She screamed & grabbed at me saying 'What the f***?! Help. Leave'."
The attacker remained at large for three months until police were called to a disturbance at Moen's family home, the Washington Post reports.
