Meet Rhyl FC's youngest ever recruit...who's already shown great dribbling technique
Little Lucas Chey McGuinness may only be four days old, but the Lilywhites hope he’ll follow in his parent’s stud prints.
Today, we got a glimpse of a potential Gareth Bale of the future.
But proud dad Niall, who happens to be the club’s manager, and mum Rebekah Hansen, who coaches the women’s team, said that, while their firstborn may don the number 0 shirt after being offered a lifetime contract, there will be “absolutely” no pressure for him to enter the sport.
Niall, 25, who himself has made history after becoming the youngest ever boss to operate in the Welsh Premier League, described the signing as “a bit of fun” by his colleagues.
He stressed that Lucas can “be whatever he wants to be”, adding: “We will always support him whether he gets into football or not.”
Niall said: “Everyone’s been so lovely since the club said they’d signed Lucas, but it was only a bit of fun by the club and just a gesture, with me being manager.
“As much as we love football, Rebekah and I would never put any pressure on Lucas to become a footballer.
