Facebook Post: Two Women jailed For Posting A Lie About Another Woman Being A Murderer On Facebook

People spread wrong information on their walls, cause havoc and sleep well at night. Its quite unfortunate.  But they forget they could be locked up for life for such lies or accusations.

Two women who falsely accused a woman of trying to kill her own baby have been locked up - after their victim died of an overdose.
Their victim, Jayne Pearce, 23, from Oldham, was wrongly jailed and charged with attempted murder after friends falsely claimed she had tried to smother the three-month-old child.


 The single mum later went on to die of an overdose after being told she would have to testify in court against her accusers.

Her tormentors, Leonie Hampson-Ogden, 23, and Shauna Stanway, 21, have now been jailed for perverting the course of justice.

Miss Pearce’s devastated relatives, welcoming the sentence, said the pair would ‘now face the consequence of their lies’.
The actions of Hampson-Ogden and Stanway resulted in Miss Pearce being wrongly locked up for three months after they claimed she had tried to kill the child - and then confessed on Facebook.
