First picture of boy, 16, 'stabbed in heart' on way home from school in attack 'caught on camera'

This is the first picture of the tragic boy stabbed to death on his way home from school in Leeds.

The victim has been named by relatives as a 16-year-old boy called Irfan Fazil - son of Waheid Fazil - known as Iffy to his friends.

Tributes posted online describe him as a "good lad" who had "a bright future ahead of him".


Launching a murder inquiry, police said the attack may have been caught on film - as Irfan's devastated uncle Tahir Fazil said his nephew was "brutally stabbed... in the heart".

Tahir Fazil posted on Facebook: "Not easy for us at this time not a nice way to watch a son/brother/friend/nephew to go."
