A man has been arrested and charged following a robbery at a petrol station in Norwich.


A CCTV appeal was released by Norfolk police last week and since a man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
Alan Hammond, 36, from London Road in Ipswich was arrested on Friday. He was charged later the same day with three thefts and a robbery which all happened last month.
The charges relate to incidents in Norwich including one which happened at 10.15pm on Friday January 20. 

A man entered the BP petrol station on Plumstead Road and approached the shop worker who was behind the till.
He then assaulted him before demanding money.
This was refused and the suspect left stealing some alcohol.
After Hammond pleaded not guilty at his first hearing on Saturday at Ipswich Magistrates Court a trial date was set for Monday March 6 2017.

"Yes my menses appeared 30 minutes to my performance and I had to put on a sanitary pad and still go on stage. "Menstruation is not a shame and I urge all young women take a cue from my actions and not to let it stop them from doing anything they want to do."
