North Korea Fires a Ballistic Missile in First Test of Year in Challenge to Donald Trump
NORTH Korea fired a ballistic missile early Sunday in its first such test of the year and an implicit challenge to President Donald Trump’s new administration.
The US Strategic Command says it detected and tracked what it assessed was a medium- or intermediate-range ballistic missile test-fired by North Korea.
The command said the launch occurred near the northwestern city of Kusong.
There was no immediate confirmation from the North, which had recently warned it is ready to test its first intercontinental ballistic missile.
