Should The Nigerian Government Support The Deportation Of Nigerian Prisoners in the UK To Serve Some Of Their Sentences In Nigerian Prisons?

 Inasmuch as foreign judgements can be registered in Nigeria( Though separate From the topic of my discussion today), i do not understand the International law behind deporting prisoners who has been serving his/her sentence in the UK to come back and serve their remaining terms in the Nigerian prison. And the government accepted this? Like seriously now i do not get it. What ever happens if 15 out of the deportees had been arrested on tourist visas and visitors visa and liable to be deported when they had served their sentences? Why the rush in bringing them back home to a prison condition that is already over crowded with high target criminals. Ah! i pity their condition ooooo... No just speak onyibo when you in our prison ooo. This is not wrong though it is unfair to the deportees or the current economic recession the country is facing right now.

What happens to those who had believed in the lies that they were free to be gays, lesbians, Bisexuals, Transgenders etc when they come back to meet up with the harsh laws that awaits them when they choose to be themselves.


 It had been reported online that No fewer than 83 Nigerians are expected to arrive in the country on Wednesday (today) following their deportation from the United Kingdom.
The PUNCH gathered that among those to be deported were residents whose documents had expired and prisoners whose terms of imprisonment were nearing completion.

 He said, “We were informed that 83 Nigerians would be deported from the United Kingdom on Wednesday morning.  Some of the people affected are those who haven’t completed their prison sentences. They would be taken to Nigerian prisons to complete their terms. Although we cannot tell the various offences, we believe others could be drug-related and immigration problems.

EFCC Officials Forcefully Break Into An Expectant Woman's House at 3am

An expectant father has accused EFCC officials of breaking into his home in the middle of the night to conduct a search without a warrant. The man said he was at his home in Olokuta, Kemta, in Idi-Aba, Abeokuta between 3 am to 5 am, when some men forcefully broke into his house using a hammer.  He added that he was afraid they were armed robbers, so he hid in the guest bedroom with his pregnant wife as the men broke in through the sitting room window. According to him, the intruders claimed to be EFCC officials looking for "Yahoo boys", but they had no form of identification, neither did they have a search warrant.  Even without a search warrant, the victim alleged that they searched his house, damaged things, then left without as much as an apology.
