A Prayerful Woman Is A Powerful Woman. Happy International Women's Day
This article is for all the women all over the world, especially to my blog readers. Majority of my page-viewers are from the USA which has the highest number of blog visitors, Nigeria is second on the traffic list, India, Ghana, etc. Thanks to you all. Life has thought me two things and i may be selfish not to share these thoughts with y'all. A STRONG WOMAN knows she has enough strength for her journey, but a PRAYERFUL WOMAN knows that its in her journey she will gain her strength.
Even scientist have made an attempt to study spiritual experience. Prayer is not a cure for cancer — but can sometimes be as important as science in helping patients heal.
Dr. Andrew Newberg of Thomas Jefferson Hospital has been studying the effect of prayer on the human brain for more than 20 years, injecting radioactive dye into subjects and watching what changes inside their heads when they pray.
In his words he says "You can see it's all red here when the person is just at rest," said Newberg, pointing at a computer screen showing brain activity, "but you see it turns into these yellow colors when she's actually doing prayer. At this point when it turns to yellow, he saw such patients begin to heal even faster than others who do not pray.
Well you are favoured to have me reveal this to you. My boss at my law firm once told me, '' vivian, always pray, if you can wake up in the middle in the early hours, pray. And you will be amazed at what prayer would do in your life'' I wake up as early as this time as i write to post on my blog, but i never really thought of praying, i mean am awake and i cannot commune with my God? I started it and i must confess, my life, carriage, aura, and presence seem to be working with the elements for my peace irrespective of the storms i face.
Girls, Ladies, Women, Mothers, single or married, if you make prayer your lifeline, not just kneeling down and clapping your hands, but one on one discussion with your God, i promise you, you will not only GLOW in the midst of sadness, violence at home, troubles, but you will have a peace that even a stray husband or friend will look back at your comportment nod his head in awe of you.
People will scorn you, laugh at your ideas, call you stupid or even tell you, you will never get there. Just smile back because you have a God whom you pray to and he will let you realize that every brick that is thrown at you, you need to use them to build your dreams. These days i look for trouble just to get insults, abuses as they make me feel stronger to detriment of the abuser sorry to add. If only they knew... I have a lot in me to pour out but i would just pause here.
Until next time... am wishing you all a happy international women's day.
NB: If you have a husband who is good, remember that behind every successful man, is a woman, a woman who cooks for him, counsels him and does not curse him, encourages him, nurses him even when she think he acts foolishly, mothers him and is there for him when he needs her. We all love our celebrities, but what have we learned from their failed marriages. They stayed because of love, in the midst of violence they covered it all. Likes of Tonto dikeh who is trending now can give you a positive side of a show of love and prayers she showered on her husband irrespective of what he does. If You are lucky not to have an abusive husband and then all you do is to weaken his spirit. I only have one thing to say to you, i sorry for you! ......vivian onukwufor Esq.
