History Made Today As The Queen Formally Gives Royal Assent to the European Union Bill

 The Queen has given Royal Assent to the Brexit Bill, paving the way for our divorce from the EU

History has been made today after the Queen gave Royal Assent to the Brexit Bill - clearing the way for Theresa May to trigger the divorce.

Speaker John Bercow told the Commons that the monarch has formally signed off the European Union (Notification of Withdrawal) Bill.



But although the PM now has the powers to invoke the two-year Article 50 process for leaving the Brussels club, she has indicated she will wait until the end of the month to do so.

The legislation's addition to the statute books - becoming an Act - comes after weeks of wrangling in parliament as Remoaner MPs and peers fought to water down the Bill.

Mrs May and Brexit Secretary David Davis successfully fended off attempts to amend the text of the two-clause legislation in the Commons.

But when it moved to the unelected Lords, where the government does not have a majority, Labour and Liberal Democrat peers joined with crossbenchers and a few Tory rebels to pass two changes.

"Yes my menses appeared 30 minutes to my performance and I had to put on a sanitary pad and still go on stage. "Menstruation is not a shame and I urge all young women take a cue from my actions and not to let it stop them from doing anything they want to do."

EFCC Officials Forcefully Break Into An Expectant Woman's House at 3am

An expectant father has accused EFCC officials of breaking into his home in the middle of the night to conduct a search without a warrant. The man said he was at his home in Olokuta, Kemta, in Idi-Aba, Abeokuta between 3 am to 5 am, when some men forcefully broke into his house using a hammer.  He added that he was afraid they were armed robbers, so he hid in the guest bedroom with his pregnant wife as the men broke in through the sitting room window. According to him, the intruders claimed to be EFCC officials looking for "Yahoo boys", but they had no form of identification, neither did they have a search warrant.  Even without a search warrant, the victim alleged that they searched his house, damaged things, then left without as much as an apology.
