The unsuspecting Delivery man would come around the area and they would be robbed. It's so sad that a system which had been on in other parts of the world to make life easier for citizens and busy shoppers, the moment it's introduced in Africa, it takes a different turn. The Rivers state police command arrested three persons in connection with the murder of a Jumia delivery man who had gone to deliver an iphone and a motorbike to a prospective buyer at a compound in the Ada-George area of Rivers state on Saturday March 25th.I think the company needs to strategize, they can not afford to put these sales men's life at stake. Some designated areas are truly not matured for this kind of service. They see it as a bush meat divine source from god to get rich by stealing the goods of these delivery men...A red alert to those areas must be put in place to ensure the safety of these delivery men.Just like the trailer drivers, they should go in twos and not alone. On Saturday, when the victim went to make the delivery at the address at Ada George Road, Port Harcourt, the suspects which included two males and a female, who never intended to pay, bound the man and threw him into a septic tank with the hopes that he would never be found.

According to OAP, Blessing Olomu, who shared the story online, the victim's body was recovered by a team of police officers today after neighbors reported suspicious activities within the compound.
