HUGE DISGRACE’: Cricket fans livid after massive slip-up
Nathan Lyon has sent India into a spin after dismissing their key player, and fans were livid at the superstar’s slip-up.
When Virat Kohli began playing perfectly-timed drives to the boundary, Australian fans held their breath in fear.
Arguably the world’s best batsman, Kohli was looking in top form on India’s redemption path after the first Test, but a critical error sent the Indian captain on his way.
Kohli left a ball from Nathan Lyon pitched on his stumps, obviously confident the ball would spin away from his leg stump and out of danger.
The Australians went up in a huge appeal before umpire Nigel Llong gave the 28-year-old out. Kohli went upstairs to the DRS to have the decision reviewed, but quickly saw the error in his ways and walked to the boundary before being given out for 12.
Fans were livid at the superstar’s slip-up at such an important time in the match, sending Twitter into an uproar as Australia gained the upper hand.
