Nysc Member Electocuted While Charging Laptop Placed On His Laps

 

This post had been online for some days now, many may not have seen it, reason why i had to share so we could learn a thing or two. I personally do this a lot. The Tech companies are profit minded these days, they would not enlighten us about the defects in their devices and neither would they concur they have a fault or an error in their devices that is causing harm to its users. Reason we all need to be very careful.

A member of the 2016 Batch ‘B’ stream, Segun Olumide, serving in Taraba State has been electrocuted.


Oumide died from the electric shock he suffered on Friday.

It was gathered that despite being rushed to the hospital by his colleagues after he suffered serious burns from electric shock while charging his laptop, it was too late as he was confirmed dead on arrival.

We were informed that he was charging his laptop, which he placed on his laps, but the system exploded. His shout alerted his colleagues who rushed him to the Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo but he died on the way.

“His next-of-kin has been informed about the tragedy, it was a sad development.”

May his soul Rest In Peace. May his family find the fortitude to bear the loss.
