Tragic: British actor Jim Tavare, who starred in the movie Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, is fighting to recover in intensive care after being involved in a horrific car crash



A Harry Potter actor is fighting to recover in intensive care after being involved in a horrific 'head on' car crash on Monday.

Jim Tavare, who appeared in the movie Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, suffered a punctured lung, a broken neck, 15 broken ribs and multiple other injuries in the accident.



The 54-year-old actor and comedian, who played Tom the Innkeeper in the hit 2004 film, managed to raise a thumbs up sign in a picture shared on social media by his wife, Laura.
