star Jarman Impey convicted, fined over Norwood hit-run incident in 2016
PORT Adelaide AFL star Jarman Impey has been fined and convicted over a hit-run accident in the eastern suburbs last year.
In the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday Impey, 21, admitted three driving offences over the Norwood accident.
Impey, of Henley Beach, had been attending a party at the George St house of teammate Angus Monfries on December 3.
In sentencing, Auxiliary Magistrate David Gurry said he was a “well-known sportsman” and that negative publicity was “part of the penalty”.
He accepted that Impey had paid $11,250 for damage to some of the cars while insurers had handled the rest.
