First of all the Economic and Financial Crime Commission needs competent lawyers (ogbologbos). Not lawyers who just tell you, ''take them to court' without evidence, knowing fully well that even though it is glaring that the accused committed the offence, but without evidence, you will surely fail. Proper investigation, diligent prosecution and committed judiciary is all the EFCC needs.

He said, “I was reading today when the President (Muhammadu Buhari) said the EFCC should stop losing cases as bloggers and writers are speaking the minds of the masses no matter how small they may look are the eyes of the people.
Obasanjo is of the opinion that They lose cases for a number of reasons. One, they engage more of outside lawyers. I believe that they need staunch, ogbologbo lawyers inside that will do the work.” Or is it that the in house lawyers were employed through connection or merit? That is not what they need. Sound lawyer is key.

He gave the second factor as thorough investigation and third factor as judges who must be committed in fighting corruption, “because if the investigation is very sound and you have ogbologbo lawyer to handle the case, if you have Salamigate, you know what the answer will be.”
