Photos: Minister of Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu Celebrates Mediocrity In Made In Nigeria Wooden car
Minister of Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu, rode in a Made in Nigeria car with wooden body at the annual “Technology and Innovation Expo” #Techno2017 in Abuja yesterday April 3rd.
While i commend the builder of this wooden car, It's pathetic, that at this stage, Nigeria, the giant of Africa, With young and dynamic minds are left to roam the streets as keke drivers, rather than sponsoring them to the best car manufacturing companies where they could learn how to make better cars. Atleast with the kind of wooden car this young chap made, the SUZUKI company in Japan, the VOLKWAGEN a German international car manufacturing company could be a starting point. But Would our leaders agree? More photos after the cut...
The maker of the wooden-body car named “Amara”, Ahmed Aliyu from Niger state, is applauded by me and his creativity is one in a million. Train this man for a more modern and ride-able cars, not antiquity or an art which befits the warm floors of a museum.
What is made in Nigeria in the car? The Engine or the wood?Photo credit: Alao Ozegbe
