Oh that feeling, when you hear the words '' Happy Birthday sir'' and you feel happy about it. '' Never before have the words "Happy Birthday!" ever been filled with so much low spirit and immeasurable sadness. For the 15th of Sha'ban is not only Imam al-Mahdi's (A.S.) birthday but that of Sheikh Ibrahim Yaqoub al-Zakzaky of Nigeria.''

The revolutionary Shi'a cleric, who was  66 on the 15th day of May but  spent what should have been a most wonderful day in prison for 517 days with  Bogus charges, With No evidence.
A decision from Nigeria's Federal High Court that the Sheikh and his wife Sayyeda Zeenat be released immediately, have been slapped back as they remain in prison. This does not make any sense at all. This is a democratic nation with rule of Law guiding it for crying out loud! The country is for everyone and no one man has the monopoly of incriminating someone, throw him in prison just to be revengeful.  I see it everyday, it happens even among the masses. An employer cooks up a well established conspiracy and sends his worker to jail.


If the Federal courts can be slapped in it's face then what hope does the common man has when his rights have being violated.

The sheikh just like Nnamdi Kalu whom we had always prayed and appealed to the government for his release using this platform deserves to be free and not locked up.  How much longer is this nightmare going to continue? You may say you are not affected by his incarceration and you do not care? or it is the plight of Muslims and the human rights lawyers to do. But no! it will fall back at us, if the courts get messed up, then there is no safe haven for us here.

Over the weeks now Nigerians are being saddled with the news about the police refusing to leave the premises of a serving Senator, Dino Melaye, but some Nigerians online expect that this over-zealousness at getting the Senator could possibly be used in securing lives and properties of Nigerians on a daily basis.
