Lawd! Gunman opens fire during pool party

A woman has been shot dead and six others have been injured after a man opened fire during a pool party.

Police said the 49-year-old gunman was shot dead by officers at the party at an apartment complex near the University of California, San Diego.

The San Diego police chief said that police received reports of a man shooting people by the swimming pool.

Three officers shot the suspect after he pointed the gun at them.

Ms Zimmerman said four black women, two black men, and one Hispanic man were taken to hospitals with gunshot wounds. One of the women later died.
