Mum furious after "fit and healthy" son aged 5 is branded "overweight" in 'fat-shaming letter' from school
A mum has been left fuming after her "fit and healthy" five-year-old son was branded "overweight" in a letter from his school.
Charlotte Moncur, said the 'demoralising fat letter' given to five-year-old son Connor was a "kick in the teeth" as she had strived to keep her family healthy after battling her own weight issues in the past.
The mum from Loughborough, Leicestershire, said son her veggie-loving boy was always running, went swimming twice a week and always ate home-cooked meals.
The note was part of the controversial National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP), which records children's weight and height in reception class.
It has been slammed by the Royal Society for Public Health and now Charlotte has backed their call for it to be scrapped.
