Italian teenager found dead in London flat after mum hadn't heard from her for four days


She is believed to be the second young Italian woman to be found dead in the last two weeks.

An Italian teenager has been found dead after her mother raised the alarm when she didn’t hear from her for four days.

Benedetta Podeseta, 18, had been working in London as a waitress at a pub in Tottenham Court Road while studying.



Miss Podesta, also known as Bibi, was discovered by friends and it is believed she had complained of feeling unwell so had not been at work.

Her mother contacted a friend in London, where she was living to improve her English, to go round and check up on her when they hadn’t heard from her.

When they went round they had to force their way into her flat and discovered her body so they called police.

I hope some people read wide and learn about menstrual health to stop the stereotype against young girls and women. "Yes my menses appeared 30 minutes to my performance and I had to put on a sanitary pad and still go on stage. "Menstruation is not a shame and I urge all young women take a cue from my actions and not to let it stop them from doing anything they want to do."
