Ukip candidate ‘proves’ party isn’t racist by showing off photo of her black husband

The party has a dubious history with accusations of racism.
Ukip candidate went to pretty extreme lengths to prove the party isn’t racist – by bringing a photo of her black husband to hustings.
Catherine Blaiklock took a picture of her Jamaican husband to a sixth form college in Great Yarmouth, where she is standing to be an MP.
She said: ‘There are millions of people who voted out of Brexit and are not racist, including myself – I sleep with somebody who is black, who is, you know, of Jamaican origin!’
She then described herself as ‘100 per cent not racist’.
Ms Blaiklock denied that Ukip used issues of race to win votes.
