I have heard nothing but praise from all who attended the NBA 5th Criminal Justice Reform Conference 2018, with the theme '' CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORMS IN NIGERIA: THE JOURNEY SO FAR'', held on the 24th - 27th April, at the Asaba convention centre. The presenters were well selected and prepared. The sessions were well attended. Everyone felt that you did a superb job organizing the meetings, selecting thought-provoking topics,and even getting some of guest new to Asaba, Delta state good hotel rates. Congratulations on both a successful and a memorable conference. You have set a new standard for conference planners.
We know you spent many months planning the event--and it showed. The sections and most importantly the guest speakers speeches were relevant and very helpful. I especially liked your selection of plenary speakers. It was as though it was the main Nigerian Bar Association Annual Conference. Next year's organizers will have their hands full trying to equal the quality of this year's event. Thanks for making the conference so worthwhile.
When a function such as this conference is a success, the credit starts with the planning committee. I would not forget to mention Akored habeeb Lawal (Publicity Secretary, NBA Asaba Branch and Local Organising Committee for CJRC), Aishatu Mohammed (Secretary of the CJRC Committee) Alfred Akinjo, Gerty Iloegbunam, Kalifat Foluke Abaniwonda, (Members CJRC Committee) Awele Ideal- Eluaka, (LOC), the list is endless as i could not get the names of the wonderful personalities involved. Thank you.
I especially want to thank Mr. Andrew Odum with his coruscating style of presentation and polite method of maintaining a smooth and efficient run of the event. On behalf of myself and some of the young lawyers who noticed and complimented your fine work, excellent planning and realistic scheduling which resulted in an informative and smooth running conference we say Thanks to you and your committee.
Having to network with members of the bench and the bar was an opportunity denied some of us young lawyers over the years, but your humility and that of our distinguished learned silks, we came in contact with... was worth the while.
