Ebola Spread: Federal Ministry of Health To Beef up Surveillance activities at Airport

Hygienists wearing protective suits disinfect the toilets of an Ebola treatment centre in DR Congo during an earlier outbreak

Following the re-emergence of the Ebola Virus disease (EVD) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the Federal Executive Council (FEC) says it has ordered the Federal Ministry of Health to beef up surveillance activities in the country.

The screening of passengers into the country from the DRC and it's neighbouring countries  forms part of its measures at curbing the import of the disease back into the country.

Nigerians are therfore advised to remain calm as  the Federal Government was concerned about the outbreak and would continue to do everything possible to keep the country safe from the outbreak.
