Whether you’re an aspiring blogger or just looking for a little inspiration in your life, here’s one of my online indulgences and it is laila's blog, one of my favourite shortlist of best breaking news in Nigeria, worldwide entertainment blog that I check almost every evening. Yep i do that a lot since i have a lot on my table during the day in court doing my law thing.
Laila'sblog.com post seven days a week, there is plenty of content for me to peruse when I sit down to relax with a glass of wine when i want to write my own stuff. Following the backlash that trailed her performance at Shatta Wale's Reign Concert over the weekend, Ghanaian singer,  Fantana  has now released a statement.  The singer stated that she is not ashamed of being a woman and also mesntruating. Her statement read in part;  "Regardless of my costume being transparent, my only option was to put on a sanitary pad and still go ahead to perform. I am a woman and I’m not ashamed of menstruating. "I want to urge every woman to resist being discriminated against because of menstruation. I hope some people read wide and learn about menstrual health to stop the stereotype against young girls and women. "Yes my menses appeared 30 minutes to my performance and I had to put on a sanitary pad and still go on stage. "Menstruation is not a shame and I urge all young women take a cue from my actions and not to let it stop them from doing anything they want to do."

Over the weeks now Nigerians are being saddled with the news about the police refusing to leave the premises of a serving Senator, Dino Melaye, but some Nigerians online expect that this over-zealousness at getting the Senator could possibly be used in securing lives and properties of Nigerians on a daily basis. What are his friends saying about this? why is there silence over this issue? Whose toes has the serving senator stepped on? According to Senator Ben Bruce he alleged that; officers of the Nigeria Police are making attempt to kill Dino Melaye with tear gas in his house. lawmaker representing Bayelsa East in the upper chamber of the National Assembly also wrote that the Police is aware of an ailment (Asthma) Senator Dino Melaye suffers from and so intend to either snuff him out or kill him right there in his resident.
