It was a sad day for the inmates at the Jos Prison as Justice Daniel Longji of the Jos High Court granted former Ex-Governor, Jonah Jang bail. The moment he was sent to prison he first noticed that there was no electricity in the prison, he immediately ordered his aides to offset the electricity bills.

The ambulance of the prison had been in bad shape for years even when he was a sitting governor but he ordered it to be repaired while as a sitting inmate. He also paid the medical bill of an inmate who had a leg disease at the Jos University Teaching Hospital.
Former Governor Jonah Jang is currently representing Plateau North Senatorial District at the Senate, is standing trial on a 12-count charge of alleged corruption and misappropriation of N6.3 billion during his governorship tenure.
