According to informationng   violence broke out during the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election in the state. 
According to the online tabloid, supporters of governor Rochas Okorocha’s son-in-law and anointed aspirant for Imo 2019 gubernatorial election, Mr. Uche Nwosu and angry youths of Amaike community, clashed after what they labelled as imposition of candidate on them.

"Yes my menses appeared 30 minutes to my performance and I had to put on a sanitary pad and still go on stage. "Menstruation is not a shame and I urge all young women take a cue from my actions and not to let it stop them from doing anything they want to do."
