Asaba Agog As Women, Children, Men Walk Against Sexual Abuse and Defilement
Female lawyers, Men,and children demand justice as shocking tales of sexual harassment emerge in Delta state, Nigeria. The Walk Against Sexual Abuse and Defilement ( WASAD ) is also in memory of late Ochanya who was allegedly raped to death by her aunt's husband, prof. Andrew Ogbuja and his son victor Ogbuja who is now at large.

Awele Ideal esq, flanked by dozens of protesting female, men and children armed with placards and loudspeakers, demanded an end to a dangerous trend of sexual abuse and defilement of women, men and children which has become an everyday incident. It has to be possible for mentalities to evolve as the trend is already taking a toll even in Delta State.

They walked from Adios place in Asaba down to stadium after which a light refreshment was served. It was a sensitization like non other. The police stood by on the sidelines to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
Awele Ideal Esq says;

“We can no longer stay silent,” Awele said. “Women, men and kids must feel able to speak out.”

May the soul of Ochanya rest in peace. The fight for justice continues.
