Atiku Abubakar Accepts Nomination...Pays Tribute To Obasanjo, Wike. Read Acceptance Speech

Winner of the Presidential candidate primary of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), former vice president of Nigeria has thanked his party for seeing him worthy of being the party's flag-bearer come 2019 election .

In his acceptance speech he said;

This is a victory for all of us. The task to get Nigeria working again starts now. #NigeriaWillWork #LetsGetNigeriaWorkingAgain 

To my fellow compatriots, you have really shown that the interest of the party and  Nigeria as a whole is very paramount and really far more important than our individual differences.  I cannot do it alone, it is not a one man's job but a collective responsibility. I am ready to work with my party and  Nigerians by giving a listening ear to the best of my ability.

He thanked the chairman of the committee,  also the governor of Delta state Dr. Okowa for conducting a free, fair and coordinated exercise, saying this is the best and most credible election conducted by the party.

He paid a tribute to Gov. Wike for conducting a historical election process void of any crisis, making the exercise peaceful and successful.

History he said has beckoned all of us to ensure that PDP returns to power.

As a political party we should provide solutions to those loopholes we have observed in this clueless government of the All Progressives Congress ( APC ) and not being intoxicated by power.

Finally, he thanked the delegates for not being influenced in their choices to vote for who they wanted.

He  did not end his speech without paying a tribute to former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo for giving him the Vice-president platform that made him who he is today,  under his tutelage he learnt and his influence will help him rule the country.

Dr. Bukola Saraki on behalf of the other aspirants congratulated the winner of the Presidential candidate. He said;

They thought some of the aspirants would show up or that they would walk out when the results were being counted. But rather than walking out, we walk with you sir, Once again, congratulations.
