Suspected Kidnappers Flee, Abandons SUV At Asaba Delta state

Though the information is still sketchy but we could pick one or two from the incident that took place today.

Workers at a government site located along the expressway, Isele-Azaba in Asaba, Delta State, where some blocks of bungalows are being built had alerted the Dragon Squad policemen who were patrolling the vicinity at the moment of the incident of some men whose faces were covered had come to attack or kidnap them. The Policemen found the Toyota highlander abandoned in the site where the workers worked and are now carrying out some investigations.

Some big boys dem just jump out from this jeep with cutlass and rope. As we see them, na so we run. As we run we come see the police van then we wave to stop them. Them be dey fear before, but after they done drive go far small, them come turn back come hear wetin we dey talk. Na so dese boys dey harass us for we here.

We are calling on the contractors in charge of the site to do all it can to protect the workers whom they have employed to work for them.
