Breaking News: Labour Suspends Strike. Agreement Signed


The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) has reached an agreement with the Federal government of Nigeria on an amount undisclosed as final agreement to the minimum wage saga.





According to reports by journalist, the Union declined disclosing the agreed figure. 





NLC president, Ayuba Wabba, told reporters that the decision to suspend the industrial action was taken after agreements were reached and documents signed.





The Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige, said the proposed figures, that is,  labour insisting on N30,000, the government delegation proposing N24,000 would be forwarded to President Muhammadu Buhari for approval.





 After a meeting of the tripartite committee set up by the federal government, they agreed on a figure and this would be made public after the committees report has been presented to the President today.
