Ghana Set to Impose Tax On Anointed Oil, Stickers.

Ghana is set to impose tax on anointing oil, stickers and other church merchandise because it generates revenue for the pastor. 





Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority, Emmanuel Kofi Nti, said the tax payment does not include tithe and offerings but only the above mentioned merchandise.





He said;





“The man of God; is he not an individual? And is he not accountable to the state for his tax obligations? There is an opportunity for us to look at it.”





He went to specifically say that the sticker of a popular pastor in Ghana, Bishop Daniel Obinim would be taxed accordingly because “it is income to him (Obinim)”





The president of Ghana fully supports the idea as most churches have left the realm of charity into the realm of wealth creation.
