Cristiano Ronaldo Named Player of the Year at Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai

Yesterday 3rd January 2019, Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was named Player of the Year at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai.





Griezmann, who plays for Atletico Madrid in the Primera Liga, and Mbappe, the rising Paris Saint-Germain and Ligue 1 star, had enjoyed a successful 2018 for club and country. The pair were instrumental in France's Fifa World Cup title win in Russia.





Another Frenchman to be honoured on the night was Didier Deschamps, who won the Best Coach Of The Year Award for his role in Les Bleus' World Cup win. Atletico was named best club of the year.

"I want to urge every woman to resist being discriminated against because of menstruation. I hope some people read wide and learn about menstrual health to stop the stereotype against young girls and women. "Yes my menses appeared 30 minutes to my performance and I had to put on a sanitary pad and still go on stage. "Menstruation is not a shame and I urge all young women take a cue from my actions and not to let it stop them from doing anything they want to do."
