Just In: Nigeria's Philanthropist /World Class Lawyer, Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko Donates N30M To The Completion of the NBA House Asaba Branch Delta State

Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko is at it again. Anioma Political leader and convener of the "Operation Return Okowa 2019" a prominent lawyer, hosted the meeting of the Nigerian Bar Association Asaba Branch held today 31st January, 2019 at the NBA House, Asaba, Delta state where he donated the sum of N30m to the uproar of lawyers present.





When Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko walked into the hall gracefully, with humility he had a handshake with virtually everyone seated in the hall. He looked around the hall where he noticed that fellow lawyers like himself were having a meeting in his very own environment in an uncompleted edifice. In solidarity towards the advancement of the branch he surprisingly asked for the total cost of the completion of the NBA House, which was with the speed of lightning given to him by the executives of the NBA. The world class lawyer and business tycoon spontaneously revealed that a cheque of N30m be issued in the name of the Bar for the completion of the massive building both inside and outside.





Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko said he was humbled by the task before us, which is the gubernatorial election. He urged all lawyers, their families who are eligible to vote and friends to join in the movement for the return of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for continuity, stating the various achievements of the Governor which had never been done and if done, not as near perfect as th administration of the incumbent.





He said;









Delta Central governed the state for 8 years under Chief James Ibori (1999-2007), Delta south ruled for 8 years through Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan (2007-2015), Delta North has been in power for only 4 years through Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa who was elected in 2015. I believe like all fair minded Deltans that Okowa must be allowed to complete his second tenure to give Delta North 8 years of governance.

I stand with Okowa because he has proved a competent governor unprecedented in the history of democracy in the state.









He also told news men that he was grateful for the trust and support the Governor expects from us lawyers at this time being mindful of the sacrifices we have to make in promoting fairness and rule of law.





He further stated that;





lawyers are integral part of judiciary which is cardinal to the sustenance and survival of democracy in Nigeria. You have a role to play in ensuring peaceful political transition that would guarantee free, fair and credible elections.

EFCC Officials Forcefully Break Into An Expectant Woman's House at 3am

An expectant father has accused EFCC officials of breaking into his home in the middle of the night to conduct a search without a warrant. The man said he was at his home in Olokuta, Kemta, in Idi-Aba, Abeokuta between 3 am to 5 am, when some men forcefully broke into his house using a hammer.  He added that he was afraid they were armed robbers, so he hid in the guest bedroom with his pregnant wife as the men broke in through the sitting room window. According to him, the intruders claimed to be EFCC officials looking for "Yahoo boys", but they had no form of identification, neither did they have a search warrant.  Even without a search warrant, the victim alleged that they searched his house, damaged things, then left without as much as an apology.
