Malik To Deji Adeyanju' Bars don’t make one a prisoner brother'

A Facebook User with the name Malik Shabbazz Abdulmalik  has penned down touching, emotional yet encouraging message to detained political activist Deji Adeyanju who has since been remanded in prison custody on a holding charge for his fight against injustice in Nigeria.

He wrote;

Prince Deji Adeyanju, Nigeria mourns and cries out your name;
As you smile yourself to sleep in that cold dungeon which is neither fit for man nor animal ;
A cage that robs you of your dignity

Deji, you are own flesh and blood 
A loved brother of humanity 
A native son of Nigeria
And adopted brother of mine

Deji Adeyanju, you are the naïve politically active student who believes in equal rights for his brothers and sisters ;

The disillusioned soul who once lost his way 
And prayed to God and found his way back again

Deji Adeyanju , you are a simple man with a far too complex plan ;

You are an enemy of The State- The Nigerians Hero ;

One who has shown courage and self-sacrifice ;

Disarming his own freedom for his conscience

Deji , you have awakened the world to the terror that exists within ;

Your own eyes have witnessed the tyranny of the Muhammadu Buhari regime ;

But rather than to hide under the pitiful blanket of secrecy ;

You searched your conscience and found the morally correct road for Nigeria and it’s young people

I love you brother

Yes, I know you asked me not to cry as I walked out of that place today and you weren’t leaving with me but I know you are a strong man and you will prevail till the end.

Just know that I am with you ! And so are many others.

We SHALL OVERCOME brother

Just stay STRONG

Recall sometime last year, the Police spokesperson, Jimoh Moshood, said in a statement that Mr. Adeyanju, Daniel Abobama and Boma Williams were arrested in Abuja on allegations of criminal defamation and breach of public peace.

He attached some placards and screenshots of Adeyanju’s Facebook page which the Police found to be criminally defamatory and “capable of inciting public disturbance, threat to public security and safety, criminal defamatory and derogatory conduct against constituted authority and breach of law and order.”

This is believed by some citizens of the state to be false accusations by the police to the general public shut the mouth of Deji from criticizing politicians and the government.
