Woman thrown to the ground for punching police officer.

The moment when a woman was dragged to the floor by a police officer as she attempts to punch a police horse was caught on camera by CCTV in Adelaide, Australia just moments after the new year was welcomed. It was a rocky start for her though.

In the video, the woman in green throws a punch between the horse and a wall where an officer was standing. However the officer mounted on the horse reacts quickly, grabbing the woman by both her hair and her collar and throwing her to the floor. Other officers then swoop in, twisting both arms behind her back and pinning her to the ground.

"Menstruation is not a shame and I urge all young women take a cue from my actions and not to let it stop them from doing anything they want to do."
