(Photos Only) Coalition of FIDA (Nig) Delta State and Civil Societies Stage Walk Against Stripping, Dehumanization of women.

The coalition of the International Federation of Women Lawyers FIDA (Nig) Delta State Branch and women from various Civil Societies on Wednesday staged a protest outside the office of the Secretary of State Government (SSG), the Ministry of Justice and the State Police Command Asaba, against the assault, stripping naked of a mother of one at the Ika Local Government, Agbor, Delta State.

The woman was seen in a video which has gone viral being beaten, stripped naked and tied like a goat by Hon. Friday Eluro simply because she had told him to stop playing wayo and be committed to ensuring he does what his superior had appointed him to do.

This got the now dis-honourable Friday Eluro and his gang members to dehumanise her.

In the video one could hear her say

Make una stop to dey do wayo,

The unfortunate amongst others are the women who stood by and watched helplessly the whole dehumanizing incident without calling on the police immediately.

Divaviva111.com gathered that, this incident had happened over four months ago but for the video which was later shared online, no one would have known.

One of the FIDA ( NIG ) Delta State members who spoke on behalf of the protesters said that;

What we have seen is only 2% of what really happen in reality, the remaining 98% is not recorded and the victim killed or left to suffer alone.

According to Mrs Thelma Ebbah, who represented the Chairperson of FIDA (Nig) Delta State Branch, Mrs Oki Omezi, she said;

The mere fact that this woman is known in her victim's community to be mentally unstable, is the more reason the abuser should have ignored her. It is shocking why the male folks are so quick to strip down Women. What exactly are they looking for in the private parts of women who brought them into this world
