Hon. Attorney General of Delta State Peter Mrakpor Chairs 17-Man Task Force To Check Human Trafficking

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has today inaugurated a 17-man Delta State Task Force on Human Trafficking with Hon Barr. Peter Mrakpor (Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Delta State) as Chairman.





Director-General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, Mrs Julie Okah-Donli was also in attendance.





Other members include;





Commissioner for Information Chief Patrick Ukah, Rev Omatsola Williams, Mr Felix Ofou, Amb Caroline Orobosa Usikpedo among others.

During the ceremony, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa said the need for the inauguration of the task force is necessary due to the increasing number of persons trafficked from the state.He said persons can be reached out to discourage them from seeking greener pastures that do not really exist elsewhere.

"Yes my menses appeared 30 minutes to my performance and I had to put on a sanitary pad and still go on stage. "Menstruation is not a shame and I urge all young women take a cue from my actions and not to let it stop them from doing anything they want to do."
