(PHOTOS) FIDA (NIG) DELTA STATE CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY WITH THEME: 'BALANCE FOR BETTER'


International Women’s Day is a time to reflect on progress made, to call for change and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities.





The International Women's Day 2019 campaign theme of #BalanceforBetter is a call-to-action for driving gender balance across the world. How will you help make a difference?





The International Federation of Women Lawyers, FIDA (Nig) Delta State Branch celebrated in a way to make the difference celebrated the Women's Day with the Worldwide campaign theme: 'BALANCE FOR BETTER' yesterday 14th March, 2019 at the Azagba Secondary School Delta state with numerous activities attended by women, senior officials of the Organization and various personalities committed towards the sensitization of the girl child on 'Sexual Abuse' and 'Female Hygiene'





Present at the occasion were: Representatives of the Medical Women's Association of Nigeria MWAN(Delta chapter) led by Dr. Agbonle, National Human Rights Commission Delta State led by Calister Osoluka, Principal of Asagba Sec. Sch. Mrs Udeme, Vice Principal Academics, Nwagbo J.C, Vice Pricipal Administration Mrs Ogbutah J.H and The Head of I.W.D Committee FIDA Delta, Your Worship Magdalene Dike.









The 2nd Leg of the event comes up on 21st March 2019 at Ugborikoko secondary school, Effurun, Warri in the Delta state.





The students were very eager to learn more and grateful for the opportunity.





Her Honour O. L Omezi ( Mrs) gave a talk on Sexual abuse both within and outside the home and the need for every child to create boundaries.





Dr. Mrs B. Agbonle spoke on Female Hygiene. Particularly Menstrual Hygiene Management in Adolescent and Teenage years.





In same vein, as part of the events marking the Int'l Women's day 2019, FIDA Delta paid a Courtesy call on Hon. Justice M. Omovie (Mrs) High Court of Justice, Delta State on Wednesday 13th March, 2018.
