Lynched NSCDC Official 'Switched off his Headlamps then Rammed His Car Over Easter Processors and killing 9 of them' - Eye witness

Yesterday our blog reported a sad incident that occured where nine persons were killed by a driver during their early morning Easter procession.

One of the lynched persons has been identified as an officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Adamu Abdullahi, and a yet-to-be-identified man.

They were reportedly lynched for killing nine Boys’ Brigade member who were drawn from the St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Madaki, and two parishes of the Evangelical Church Winning All in Bamusa and Barunde, Gombe State.

The Easter procession it was learnt happened around 1am. The NSCDC official had wanted to drive through the procession, but was prevented by the brigade, which had blocked a lane on the road, report say.

An eyewitness reported that after some altercation, Abdullahi who was infuriated by the fact that he being an official of the NSCDC is being prevented from passing through by the boys brigade, went home to drop the persons who were with him in his car. He was alleged to have returned to the procession, switched off his car headlamp and rammed into the group.

Luck ran out of Abdullahi as he was chased by the youths and beaten to death.
