''I only inherited N1.8bn'' Emir Sanusi replies Governor Ganduje’s Corruption query

After a peace accord reportedly made, a statement by Abba Anwar, the Chief Press Secretary to Ganduje, says that a reconciliatory meeting has been initiated by the Kano-born business mogul Alhaji Aliko Dangote and the Chairman of Nigeria’s Governors’ Forum, Dr Kayode Fayemi, to bring peace between Governor Ganduje and the Emir of Kano. They were later seen congratulating each other.









Barely 24hrs to the reconciliatory meetings, the Emir Muhammadu Sanusi has now replied the query issued to him by Governor Ganduje on alleged misappropriation of fund -





The Kano emir explained that he only inherited N1.8 billion when he assumed office - The monarch said he remains the secretary of the Emirate Council and not the accounting officer of the council.





The one-page reply with reference number KEC/CF/FIN/1/162, dated June 7, 2019, was signed by the Acting Secretary to the Kano Emirate Council, Alhaji Abba Yusuf.
