DV111.com Appeals to AIB to Carry Out Investigation On 'ALL' Airlines In Nigeria to Avert Serious Incidents

Divaviva111.com learnt that one of the airline’s aircraft, a Boeing 737-500 with registration number 5N-BQM, was involved in a serious incident en-route Lagos from Abuja on Tuesday at about 3:07 pm with 27 passengers and six crew members on board.

According to the Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB), there was no fatality but from the information gathered, cabin altitude warning came on during the flight followed by deployment of oxygen masks which necessitated the crew to carry out emergency descent procedure.

DV111.com had on several occasion shared the experiences passengers experience in the course of their travel by air. From delay of flights after long hours of waiting at the airport without prior information to their passengers to total cancellation of flights indefinitely. We are again appealing on the relevant authority to please look into our airlines. there is a problem somewhere and the airlines are pretending all is well. this is totally unacceptable.

We are pleased to learn that the General Manager, Public Relations, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Mr Sam Adurogboye told Punch correspondent that the regulatory agency would commence its implementation of safety recommendations after the conclusion of the AIB’s investigation.

We thank God for safety of the crew and passenger however, we implore the AIB to do an carry out an overall investigation. It isn't just Medview that should be investigated, every other airline in Nigeria should also be investigated before we experience something worse than this.
