BREAKING: Delta Workers Resume Work After Governor Intervenes in Deputy Director's Death

Organized labour in Delta State has directed workers to return to work on Monday at 8:00 a.m. following Governor Sheriff Oborevwori intervention and the setup of an Administrative Panel of Inquiry into the death of Mr. Adeda Ekwevugbe, Deputy Director in the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.

NLC Chairman Comrade Goodluck Ofobruku and TUC Chairman Comrade Willson Asekutu confirmed that police have made arrests and criminal investigations are ongoing. Ofobruku thanked workers for their solidarity, assured full union support for the deceased family, and pledged to work with the panel to ensure justice. He urged workers to stay calm, diligent, and committed to their duties.

Vacation Court Remands Ifeanyi Ogbonna a.k.a Odogwu Asaba Over Alleged Rape and Mansl@ughter

 Delta State High Court has remanded content creator Ifeanyi Ogbonna ("Odogwu Asaba") at the Ogwashi-Uku Correctional Centre over the alleged rape and death of 20-year-old Favour Agbro. ​Recall that Agbro had traveled to Asaba for social media monetization training, where Ogbonna allegedly assaulted her in a hotel. She later recorded a video recounting the ordeal and accusing Ogbonna before dying by suicide from a toxic substance. Following an investigation supported by autopsy and toxicology results, police charged Ogbonna, whose wife publicly defended him by admitting an affair occurred while denying any rape. Ogbonna remains in custody awaiting trial.
